Cobra Families,

Welcome to Season 22-23, its great to have cricket back and we are hopeful of a smoother start to the season than last year.

Committee – Volunteers

With planning well underway for the season we have a number of open positions on the Cobra’s Junior Committee.  We’d love to have more people involved in helping run the junior section. No cricket experience is required for many of the roles and as we rely on volunteers, all offers of help are appreciated.

Open roles:

  • Under 14 – Co-ordinator (help manage all the Under 14 teams)
  • Social Media – Co-ordinator (Co-ordinate the social media communications or the season with the help of our two junior player who work on social media for the club)
  • Kit Manager – this role help for two weeks at the beginning of the season, arranging and distributing kits
  • Social Events Co-ordinator – help marshal our resources for our social events.

These roles can be undertaken individually or shared with a friend.    If you can assist please reach out to myself – [email protected]

Junior Development Squads

After the success of our Sunday Turf Development side last season, the team will continue this season.   This side provides a development opportunity for our under 14 & 16 players to develop their cricket under the coaching of our experienced club senior players.  Over 26 Junior players played in the side during the course of the year and we welcome all players who are keen to develop their cricket nominate for the squad.

Further, our 4th Saturday Senior side will again provide a development pathway for our juniors to experience senior cricket, under the captaincy of Rob Layton.  This side enabled 22 father & son/daughter combinations to play together for the club last year and was a great introduction to senior cricket.

If you or your child are keen to be considered as part of either of these sides, please contact me – [email protected]
